Happy Holidays

Hopefully everyone is enjoying their holidays as much as we are. Josh's parents are visiting this week and we are loving every minute of it. Zaden is enjoying his time with "Gampa Cole and Gamma" and mommy is enjoying her rest. I told Carolee this morning I feel like I'm in a 5 star bed & breakfast with all these wonderful meals and naps. Xander is doing great, his little cheeks are getting chubbier every day. Josh is working the rest of this week but he did have off on Monday and Tuesday so we got some daddy time then!

1 week update

It's hard to believe Xander is already a week old! We went to the Dr. yesterday for a checkup and he seems to be meeting the doc's expectations. He weighed 7.8 so he's gained backwhat he lost in the hospital and more! He's in the 15th percentile for height which isn't too surprising when you look at his parents! He sat in the sun this morning because he was slightly jaundice. He doesn't sit there for long without getting fussy tho. Big brother's doing well. Has frequent mommy moments where he thinks no one can do anything for him except mom. His favorite phrase recently is "hi, momma!", like I just walked in the door- except I've been there for the last 5 hours. Xander Jude

Yes we are all still alive and well here in our little Sedalia Missouri home. I can't believe it's been since August since I put anything up! Now that I'm home with the boys maybe I will be able to update more often! Xander was born last Tuesday (Dec. 11). He was 7.2lb and 19 and 3/4 inches long. He's pretty special! Zaden is definately having to adjust but he's not doing too bad considering someone else crashed into his world and took all his attention! ;)

Fun Weekend

We had a wonderful weekend, starting with the workers coming for supper and the night on Thursday. Zaden was SO excited to see them when we got home! I hope he always loves the workers as much as he does now. Then on Friday after work & daycare, Zaden left for Arkansas with his Grandma and Grandpa Spinar to visit Dalene & Ryan. (His first weekend without mom and dad!) Josh and I went to Kansas City for the weekend to celebrate our anniversary (August 1st). It will be 4 years...unbelievable! It was nice to relax and sleep in but now we are home, waiting for little Zay to get home. Both of us are getting pretty anxious to see him. Two days without the squirt seemed like a long time!

Another Day of Work

Well I just got home from work and I'm waiting for my boys to get home from Wed. night meeting. It's hard to work knowing meeting is going on but I guess I'm lucky I only have to work late one night a month. I used to think I wanted to be a working mom...that was B4 I became a mom! Well it seems like Zaden learns a new word every time I turn around. Yesterday my favorite was "Tash" when asked if he wanted to go see his Aunt Tasha. Needless to say, she was thrilled. Another one of my favorites is "Oh No" even though there's no crisis situation at hand.

Weekend

We had a nice relaxing weekend-I can't believe it's almost over! Zaden got to go to the pool for the first time this summer. He likes it alot better than last summer. Once he got used to the temperature, we couldn't keep up with him. Dunked himself a few times but he survived. Zaden's baby cousin Kingston went with us. He seemed to be enjoying himself too.

We're waiting for our kitchen countertops to be redone, & I'm about to go crazy without a kitchen sink for a week now! Doing dishes in the bathroom is just not a good time. Hopefully this week they will be finished. Now we're at Grammy and Grandpa's finishing off our weekend. Now if only the work week would go so quickly!

Trip to Colorado

This is a little behind the times but I wanted to post some pictures from CO and WY. We had a wonderful visit to see Josh's parents & then got the privelige of another Chugwater convention. Now we're back home taking one day at a time, trying to live out those beautiful things we heard. Zaden learned alot of new words while we were out there, my favorite was: "horshe...mooo". Can you tell we live in town? He met his cousin Quentin, who seems to be just as wild as Zaden! Grandpa and Grandma Cole did a good job spoiling him but that's what Grandparents are for I suppose.

Here goes nothing

Well, I felt kind of left out because everyone has a blog except us. So we'll give this a try! It really is a wonderful idea since I'm not exactly good at keeping in touch...

Missouri is not exactly the most desirable place to be right now....unless you like rain, & LOTS of it. Since Wednesday night it's pretty much rained without a break here in Sedalia. Makes you want to crawl back under the covers. Of course, Zaden makes sure that we do nothing of the sort. When I ask if he wants to "go night-night" I always get a big "NO" and he runs off.

Fourth of July is coming up...hope everyone has a good one-I'm looking forward to the break from work for a day!
